I really want this sexy shifter boot because mine is peeling and this would match my suede red stitch nardi perfectly.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NISSAN-3...ies&hash=item2ec4ac520a&_uhb=1#ht_4652wt_1281

But the question is can i keep the stock knob because i love the stock one's feel and look, plus the one that comes with the boot looks gay.

P.S If anyone has a boot similar to this and/or handbrake boot i am very interested in buying it.

    EDIT:

It was worth clicking for the OP's avatar. hehhehe

As far as your question goes, I like the boot because of the metal eye on it, just buy it and you can change knobs every now and then, no reason why you can not as far as I can see, you sound like you might enjoy a variety of knobs. :)

Just buy it and make it work if it doesn't. It's only fabric, pretty easy to modify slightly if it isn't 100% from the get go.

Well mine a little to the left actually but nothing OEM came out of the factory turned out perfect every time but im very happy with the way mine handles and performs even in slippery conditions.

Penis jokes aside your shift knob should be bent slightly towards the driver and back. If it's bent to the passenger and forwards then it's been installed incorrectly and needs to be unbolted and turned 180 degrees.

Haha yeah no joke i fitted mine correctly when i installed in the final days of the manual conversion so its all good. It really is the best designed OEM gear knob i know. Grabbing it and thrusting it back and forth is pure joy (reverting back to penis jokes)

I have finally got my shifter to a point where I really like it but my wife now hates it, however when I detested it & it was all loose & wobbly, she loved it:confused:

I think replacing the bushing at the join between the control lever and control rod made all the difference, minimised floppiness and makes her box very happy when taking a beating :)
