As you all know of the unfortunate events with my car, I am picking up a new door, guard, bonnet tomorrow......I managed to fiberglass the bumper back together, but it will never look the same. So what I was thinking is that a new bumper will cost me a few hundred, I have to paint panells anyway.......So I was thinking about buying this.....what do you all think? I actually like the styling.....but am I likely to run into any problems? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200191407049
:bash: :bash: :bash: thats blasphemy...u are now banned from this forum effective immediately.....mods please take action *looks at greg*
Hmmmmm, maybee I should change that to "the general concensus that I seem to see on this site is that not a lot of people like veilside!" But what do you all think? Does this kit look ok? Am I likely to fall into problems with fitting it.....ie the reo bar?
i had the full veilside kit on my car, except for the wing (hate the wing lol) check my garage - didnt have any problems, all parts fit perfectly as for buying kits off ebay - i dont have any experience in that field, some other members will advise u if there good or not
Are they a lot lower than the stock front bar? Actually I like the rear wing! But doesn't come with that kit
yeah they are, even worse when the whole car is lowered lol the front part or "nose" sticks out a lot more than stock as well by about 2 or 3 inches
I generally don't like vielside vomit, that one doesnt look too bad but mind you he's also got the rear wing, ganador mirrors, vented bonnet, awesome colour paint job and rims among other small details which all seem to fit together really well...so if your car turns out like the one in the photos....I like ....otherwise I'd go another brand like wings west, stillen, uas or original 2000 spec. And yeah not sure how safe it is to buy a full kit of ebay...definatley research it as much as you can. Good luck, cheers! Craig
in relation to whether the bar will fit or not - i think it'll fit as good as any of the other veilside copies floating around. i had one, didn't line up that well on one fender of mine, but lined up perfectly on another. had that happen with a few bumpers - sometimes they line up perfectly , sometimes they don't, most of the work is in the fitting. i'd recommend getting the kit, when you get the front bar, fibreglass the mounting holes up, and redrill to make sure they line up with your car. that way you can get the bar to fit YOUR car properly.
