Hey guys! Some of you may have seen our demo car build on another site, however we just joined here and I though I would share it with you guys. We are DressUpBolts.com and we sell Titanium and Stainless Replacement Fastener kits. Below is the build of our demo car.. enjoy :)

I'll save you from the dozens of pictures and just post the highlights:

This picture is far from the condition we purchased the car in, the front bumper was broken in several places, the side skirts were held on by wood screws (into the door!) and it was in just overall horrible shape:

The interior wasn't any better, unkept, dirty, the only gauge that worked was the tach!

The engine ran horribly so we pulled it and opted for a "different" route:

This was to replace the tired n/a vg:

Test Fit with the new mounts:

Pulled everything out for a respray:

Thanks! I really wanted the car to have more of a GT-R (R35) look in the rear with the exhaust. Not really what happened.. haha but I think it turned out nicely. Those are 4" tips with 15 degree slash cut.

    Thanks!

Great looking Zed. Did you find any negative effects to the handling with the big straight 6 hanging over the front crossmember? wouldn't have thought you could fit that without firewall mods..

Oh wow! I didn't realize

Hard to believe that little local forum gets international views!! haha

You know we never did any track events with the car, I would imagine there would be some ill effects seeing that the VG sits even with the Strut Tower, while the 2J extends past it.

No firewall mods at all, in fact the radiator could have been left in the factory location had the Throttle Body been trimmed of the useless traction control stuff.

And just to clear the air!! The engine was chosen simply for demonstration purposes. We picked an engine that would grab a lot of peoples attention being in the bay, not too many people have ever seen a 2J in a Z32, which was the point in building the car. We wanted to draw people at shows to showcase our products. Of course the car is quite fun in a straight line as well!

Something beautifully disgusting about this conversion... like drewling over your 16 year old step daughter... you know it is horribly wrong, but it looks so god-dammed hot.

Or is that just me...

amazing work what transmission did you end up using in this conversion :)

that looks great i like the look of all the coloured nuts and bolts. always been a fan of 2Js. so much more room in the engine bay with a straight 6 you could fit a T88 or T51R in easy, imagine the looks on peoples faces then.

Hey man, that looks awesome...must say very very nice zed. The two shots below have really tempted me away from stillen skirts and standard rear bar.
What's the specs on your wheels...widths and offsets?

Since it's an engine bay show car, I highly recommend you get one of these. It'll look a lot better than that big black box...

Bloody hell... and I thought my single 4" cannons were big!
    bahahaha

I've said it before and I'll say it again,
Not big on the conversion, but the tips and rims are amazing. The whole look of the car (except for the nose panel), bonnet down, is sweet as. These have been gnawing away at the back of my mind for a while now... trying to get me to not buy the VMR's...

Could you please PM me / post here with some links to some hi-res copies of those pics? so good...

    Thanks!

We used the W58 Transmission for the SC300. I would have preferred to have a used a r154, but the W58 was available.

Yes, both the T51R or T88 would fit with no problem!

    The wheel specs are:
    18x9.5 +15 on all 4 corners.

I like the rear bar we used, but if I were to do it again I would have used this rear bar:
