    Vibration

About the rear vibration, I had the same problem. It was the uni's. To fix it I just bought a one piece toll shaft and diff bushes from UAS. Since then I have no more vibrations. Worth looking into.:D

could you post a photo of your turbos next to a pair of stock ones , just so I can see what they look like from the front and rear ?

    Cheers

ok im officially impressed....and to the previous quesiton yes they come in BB and i think that they can do a 5 bolt aswell...and what really has got me is that they can put a T28 shaft into the atr25:D and they are developing that turbo with 320hp aswell which they are still trail fitting, but it does look great...i took some comparitive pictures aswell...hope that helps all the skeptics (i was one too) out there, there is another option for us guys who want turbo upgrades (finally IMO)...alsoo for reassurance these components are actually manufactured by garret themselves(i saw the reciept) so it provides some peace of mind thinking about thre reliability of the turbos themselves

    Ryan

PS: hope that helps anyone interested

NOTE: the larger turbo in some of the pics is the turbo in development (320hp) ones

Great work Ryan!!! double thumbs up on your research!

I will be looking at getting the ATR25/28 (320hp) kit myself. Am i assuming correct that this will be the 28internals in the stock sized ATR25 housing (4bolt)??
did Hypergear go through any pricing with you for getting this kit? - and the main question, when is he able to offer this particular kit to us for sale??????

Thanks again, please post up as many answers to these questions as you can, as i'm sure many people will want all the info they can get on these upgrade options. :)

    Cheers,
    Benny.

nice work. are you sending the turbos off 2 be balanced? you cant be changing wheels and shafts without balancing...

i hate 2 sound like a fool but. there are about 4 or 5 companies that are allready offering a t28 core upgrades that bolt up 2 the zed...

more turbos out there the better but at the end of the day. a tried and tested unit is allways going 2 outsell the unknown and yes 80% of the re-cored turbos use garret parts...

Well the main idea is to build a turbocharger that can handel heaps of boost make heaps of power can not be blown. We've made that happen on the ATR28 turbochargers and we want to intergrate it to the ATR25. The problem is the height of the turbo for the driver side which is very close to the engine mount. We will find a way.

Hypergear, that is good to hear. Please keep up posted on any updates with this unit. even via PM would be appreciated. I'm looking seriously at this 320hp ATR25/28 unit and appreciate all progress on this. How close are you to offering this unit as a 4 bolt, bolt-on package?

The 300HP profile will still be $750 each as its really the same amount of work to build. if the ATR28's CHRA is going to be used there there will be an additional cost on custom made turbine housing and back plate, but I won't know the exact figure at this stage.

Im keen for a set of these as well , hence why i revived the thread.
Im also waiting on dyno sheets.
Hypergear , you are aware that the garret disco's (rs) require the engine mount to modified with the grinder? maybee ur 28's could be the same?

yeha i think its the drivers side mount right??? thats what they're trying to do with the 320hp set up, trying to fix that problem and getting it to fit properly...hope that helps

yep, and as soon as Hypergear comes up with the 'bolt-on' solution and a final price i'll be happy to be the guinea pig to try this turbo out. (as long as it's still a reasonable price) :)
