Hi guys, Been a long time since I've posted here. Unfortunately I had some serious engine issues with my Z about a year and a half ago and I can't afford to fix them. So, I'll unfortunately be looking to sell my Z if it's worth it to me (I do intend on buying a freshly imported TT at some point, so worst-case scenario I'll have a parts car). The top end of the engine needs a rebuild, and all the parts are in the boot. I had the heads removed to find out what my low compression was coming from and that's how it stayed, I couldn't afford to do anything else with it. The body is in pretty decent shape, although it does need a respray. Half-decent 17" rims on it. Other than that everything is fairly stock. It's a 1989 model Z32, J-Spec NA. I'd just like some advice on what I could hope to list this for? Any advice is appreciated. Nothing is worse than getting your car back in pieces and having that exhilarating ride all of a sudden stripped away! I hope to see you guys again in the future when I get my hands on a tasty TTZ, until then take it easy and enjoy your Z's! :zlove:
The market is REALLY bad at the moment for sellers(thank god im not selling at the moment) expecially for cars not running... for example there was a 93 NA listed with a blown g-box for 5k not long ago on here... hate to say it but being in need of major engine work + a respray... dont expect heaps.
non running zeds are worth nothing these days. what exactly is the problem? headgasket? low compression? if your car is manual i may be interested.
do i still need a eng. cert. if i want to put another NA engine into it.. or do i only need one if im changing from NA -> TT? or vice-versa
No Only if your going with an engine that didnt come out in the 300zx, another NA or a TT wouldn't need one.
