For those who don't know the full story have a read of THIS POST Just wondering if removing the brake booster is as simple as: 1)removing the brake pedal assembly 2)removing the 4 nuts that are connected to the brake booster from inside the car 3)undoing the master cylinder 4)Sliding the brake booster out
It could just be the vacuum storage tank is split? No vacuum, no booster. Or one of the hoses is split? I haven't removed the booster myself but that sounds about right.
Well here's what happens When driving i push the pedal down, i can feel assistance from the booster for about 1 inch of pedal travel then it goes very hard and i have to push quite hard to get the car to slow down... Where is the vacuum storage tank located? also the vacuum lines have just been replaced and are secured tightly

Whoops, just checked and vacuum tanks are for clutch only ...>> Since hoses are new and the clamps are tight. Then it must be either the check valve or the booster.
