Just thought I'd express how sooky I am that it's drizzling on my one day off, no worky on the Z.. 97.3fm dj isn't helping right now lol.. Anyone else doing work on their Fairlady today? Cheerio
mine is sitting out in the open on ramps, entire PS assembly removed. Thank GOD I at least put the parts under cover and closed the bonnet. Compressor, lighting, socket sets and tools however werent so lucky Off to get a small tarp to lie on and a carton of rums. Gotta be prepared for the conditions
now that's planning. I think rum is a top idea, laying in the rain working on the zed..not so good. you should sit it the car in the rain, with your rum and listen to the stereo and pretend your cleaning the inside. once all rum has gone ,fall out of car attempt to walk inside and tell the missus that the fumes from the armorall got ya. maybe go for the drunken sympathy sex too. now that sounds like a better day.
Hubs + Bushes = Sweat + Frustration I just changed all the bushes in one of the hubs (craddle rebuild) is a bit a crap job, off to do the other side.
Well i just had a win. Rack blown out insitu PS lines all blown out and refitted. Control solenoid removed again, cleaned, blown out, tested and refitted. rebuilt pump removed again, stripped, cleaned, reassembled and refitted. Reservoir degreased (HPC coated, so didnt want to damage to remove filter) and refitted. Put radiator back in, bled, started and bled again. WE HAVE P/S AGAIN!!!!! Gotta refit interior trim where tried in vain to find "PS Check connector" Refit PS computer and ECU Then go for a limited test drive. Still to source Drivers side Strut top bush, as mine tore out going through the multitide of potholes that havent been repaired since the flood. Alignment is shocking, replaced 255's up front yesterday. Alignment booked in for Monday :zlove::zlove:
