    Hey All

when i flick the arm to turn high beam on its all good but when i pull it back to normal (low beam) the high beam stays on. couple of secs later or when i flick it on and off again (sometimes several times) it turns off again. Its so annoying. whats causing it to stay on high beam? Any help would be great!

    Cheers John

Its either a relay sticking or more likely the turn/headlight switch playing up.

    sirbreaksalot bigger better faster

mine was doing the same thing

you will find if you push it slightly forward it goes out

mine would STAY on high beam if I pulled the stick towards the steering wheel onto the PASS position ( the spring loaded area of the switch)
after that it would stay on

mine would function correctly if I pushed it forward and backwards in and out of high beam, the only thing I relized was when I pulled out of HB i would touch the PASS position by mistake
A correctly working switch this wont happen

I pulled it apart and cleaned and bent the contacts slightly

not hard to do just have to move the pass section to see which contacts need bending.

    this was my findings anyway
same thing happened on my previous Nissans as well

When I first got my zed it had the highbeams on permanently, turned out to be a bent contact in the switch arm.

Just be careful pulling the switch apart, make sure your somewhere that small parts and springs can be easily found if dropped.
