    hey homies.

got my HID from haider the other day, trolled the forums, but cannot find one article with pics from anyone thats installed theirs.

im wondering how you wire them in. anyone have details?
i.e - is it as simple as hard wiring into the existing lighting (pos to pos, neg to neg) or do we have to do it another way?

the instructions that come with are horrible.

    thanks all.

    Pretty sure thats it, rod.

The bi-xenons (eg H4) get the high beams wired into the one ballast with relays etc whole heap of (enter sexual intercourse related expletive here) about. But our zeds dont have that problem.

So would the zed masters like to enlighten us?

Edit: agree with you on the instructions mate a good hard stare didnt tell me much.

If you're talking about the low beams, it's pretty much plug 'n play
and finding somewhere to mount them (nose panel :D)

Sick. Ive seen ballasts mounted in the engine bay forward of the strut tops on one of the geelong guys zed. I think he just used double sided tape.

Good work on the priorities rod lol....

the ballasts can be mounted underneath the headlights, ive seen it done a few times. if you got the SLIMLINE's then you should have no issue with that.

Low beam are a virtual plug and play, i have not installed mine yet but had a look the other day and it looks straight forward enough.

High beams however can be a bit more difficult. I am unsure how to wire these .

What value did you get? Those are 8000k so should be pretty blue.

the pictures were a bit confusing to me..
So.. can someone explain to me WHERE they mounted the ballasts..
im under the belief you can do it directly beneath the headlights :S .

    or am i wrong :S ?

I used to have my ballasts under the nose panel, but when I had the headlights out to put in the new inserts I moved the ballasts under the headlights. Neater that way...I think they are still accessible with the front bar off.
