Took ours over the welshpool pits to be relicenced a few months back and they never said I thing about the lockbar . I painted it black so it didn't stick out like dog's balls though.
thats my plan as well, infact I am reblacking the whole underside so its all nice and pretty for them. we do that with most our resprays here so the guys at the pits are used to seeing cars come out of our shop like this.
