Hi everybody, I'm new to the zed world, I've admired them for a long time and now I have one. I'm the new owner of K-Zed's old Z32, purchased from Tsunitomo who only had it for a couple of months, credit to you Rob the car is in great condition and a pleasure to drive. I've been reading through the posts to familiarize myself with what it takes to maintain the car, appears to be plenty of help here. My life is pretty busy so I probably won't make it to any social events you guys have but would like to get known to the local zed mechanics for services ect. I live on the northside of Brisbane so Gavin Wood on the gold coast is a bit far to go, I see there is A2Zed at Wacol any other sugestions? also any hints on this, when the car has been sitting for 20 min or so when i drive off (under pressure or not) there is a scraping or rubbing sound coming from the rear for about 2 seconds then doesn't happen again even if i stop for 5 min with handbrake on. could be a brake not releasing cleanly after handbrake being on for a sustained period, what do you guys think? Welcome to the forum. You won't find a better place to get things fixed than members A2Zed or Rollin(both have excellent reputations for attention to detail and care in working on Zeds).
Howdy! Welcome to the world of Z ownership! Plenty of fantastic info here and good on you for taking the time to figure that out for yourself by browsing the forum. Browse, search and ask questions - that's what we're here for! Agree with Chili - Rollin is on the northside so nice and close and I can highly recommend him, A2Zed at Wacol also very knowledgeable, so you have some good options available. Welcome to the forum and the Z world, they are a great car when you find a good one and you wont find a better maintained car than the one you bought. Cant shine any more light on your noise problem, but does sound a bit like the brake sticking a bit. Does it always make the noise after using the hand brake? And conversely, does it ever make the noise if you haven't used the hand brake? As already stated A2Zed and Rollin are your guys with any of your Z related issues, don't risk your car with normal garages there are too many horror stories.
