QLD Hexagonal Mesh

I have a sheet of mild steel hexagonal mesh, impossible to get in cut to size sections, that is why I had to buy a whole sheet.

This is what it looks like in rattle can black.



This was the inspiration for it, I am not real big on Modena worship or copying, but a lot of high performance marques use hex mesh so I thought it was good enough for a TT, the point was to have something that was different from SuperCheap mesh and would last if fitted properly.



I think it would look great in any situation, I would like to see a Y2K front bar done in it, hint hint hurry up Scotty !

Seconded on the 2k spec front bar. Just the middle "mouth" piece.

That would $37.50 plus postage of $16.95 = $54.45

That would be with all pieces cut to size.

Be aware that you need at least 1cm oversize all round to allow mounting, so if you measure to hole size you will have a problem, also long curved holes can present a problem so more than 1cm border can be helpful.

If you need to measure again to check, no problem, better too much than too little.

 

Mesh would be $19.50 and postage $16.85 = $36.35

Whats the rigity of it like? The mesh they use say on the modena, lambo is pretty rigid stuff, and thats what I'm after.

 

It is made or 1mm mild steel, suitable for the intended purpose.

Not sure what Lambo/Ferrari etc use.

I figure ill leave measurements as they are, since it might minimise wastage depending what shape ur piece is.

Sure is, I think Atillas first 3 pieces are for a 2k bar, but I would highly recommend taking your own measurements to be satisfied.

I dont have a 2k bar so I have been asking people to measure for their own requirements to save any dramas, dont forget to leave some overhang for mounting.
