Hey I am trying to get a replacement bumper over from Victoria to Perth and I have found a cheap replacement, however I am having difficulty getting a good shipping quote. TNT only seems to want to handle business shipping and a few of the smaller shipping companies want $200+ They base their price on the overall volume of each item, even though it would not take up that much space in the truck. Can anyone offer any cheap shipping solutions? Cheers:thumbsup:
mate $200 is a good price I ended up paying close to $400 for a stock bumper and a drivers side rear quater panel from just outside canberra to my place in perth. That said, who do you have quotes for now just for future reference.
I sold a spoiler to a member in queensland sent it aus post, from vic, as long as you can wrap it theyll send it. thats what they said, cost was $40.
i got told different they have a limit on the size of things they would accept, the bumper was pretty big so yer.
Re: i got told different That quote was from delpack in Vic $200 is far too expensive. Other spoiler retailers that I have contacted have had interstate shipping as low as $50 through TNT
I put the spoiler in my ute, took it to the local P/O And they sent the mother to QLD. that was 6 months ago, maby things have changed.
Re: yes but businesses are repeat customers Sorry typo above - was actually $250 they quoted me, looking at it now Yeh repeat customers but that shouldn't account for a 500%+ markup! By the way, the guys at delpack are really friendly - Good company to deal with. Their number is 03 5222 7799. I am just after a good price, thats all
Re: www.busfreight.com.au You could also look for removalists, As long as you drop off at their depot and get it pciked up at the other end. They can use it to fill the back of the truck. I have send two bumpers like this. one to sydney and another to Perth. Try JL Ryan in Dandenong
