    Hi guys,

Ever since I've owned my car, when I get out of it after driving I shut the door and push the alarm remote which locks the doors, flashes the indicators, makes a beep from the siren and turbo timer times down the engine.

The other day, I did what I've always done but this time the right indicator stayed on after I pushed the button and the doors didn't lock. I pushed the button again and the indicator stayed on, pushed it again and left and right indicators stayed on. Then they all turned off by themselves.

Now when I push the alarm button, the interior light goes off as usual, the alarm arms as usual and engine times down, but the doors don't lock and the indicators don't flash.

The indicators do work and so does the central locking when operated by hand.

Does anyone know what is causing the problem and how to fix it?

    Thanks.

    Ben

I had a similar problem with my alarm not locking properly when my battery was dying...

Does the interior light come on when you open either door. If it is check check the boot switch. The doors may not be locking because the alarm thinks one of them or the boot is open. Check the bonnet pin switch if your installer fitted one. Failing that your alarms most likely had it and you'll need a new one.

    That's probably an anti-hijack feature.

Tammy's Hornet alarm does that on her R33.

Start engine doors all lock, stop engine drivers door only unlocks.

The alarm need resetting of the option codes,
If you have an instruction book,it will show you how to do it,normally a matter of turning the key so many times and pressing the remote buttons as well,at least thats how mine gets reset and many others i should think

The interior light works when the doors/boot are open closed..

So no problem there. No instructions came with the car so I don't have the PIN for it so can't reset it.

Probably just need to buy a new one. I'll try a car alarm specialist before I buy a new one.

Anyone know of a good three point immobiliser alarm with turbo timer?

    Thanks guys.
