help with auto

    hey guys got a problem oil pooring out of the bell housing any ideas on wat it would be and prices and where to get the parts from thankx guys

    Rear main seal?
    Approx $400 to fix at most rep workshops.

    what colour is the oil?

    red it tranny fluid comes out as quick as i put it in when in gear

    Depending on where you live there's a few good tranny shops I'd suggest going to.
    It will require box out and disassembly to replace seals.
    My tranny is being recond and beefed up, with extra clutch plates, at the moment & by choice; I'm spending around $2.5k.

    how much aprox just for replacing the seals and dose the auto come out fairly easy?

    Auto removal is DIY doable. Tranny oil pump seal replacement fairly straight forward if you follow FSM/AT procedures.
    Problem is if the front seal has failed, other seals are also on their way out. :(

    Make sure one of your trans lines hasn't worn through at the bellhousing area ? If confirmed from inside bellhousing (front seal, breather , converter neck suspects) What was the trans like before the leak? and did you drive it while low on fluid?

    was always full fluid didnt leak a drop and was a good gearbox sometimes sittin at 100 wouls chang back a gear but not for long it would go back to overdrive

    I was quoted 5k for a manual conversion using a new manual tranny.
