My rear L hand wheel bearing was replaced with a new one approx 20,000kms ago and is again making itself known. Now being Xmas time I am flat broke particularly after just fitting a new clutch, so I see the Zed sitting in the shed for a while.

Ross was kind enough to sort a hub and bearing off his wreck but the axle was damaged when he removed it and the CV is welded by rust into the hub and after trying everything today pullers, presses the works its a no go. Dont have the cash atm to buy new Nissan so need to find another L hand hub and bearing - Anyone in Sydney, Stef, does your wreck have anything left on it????. Bloody Zed will have a for sale sign on it soon if this shit keeps up, I am loosing my patience for cars:bash: .

    Matt,

My wreck has the rear end left, with hubs and bearings. It's a NA though, not sure if they are the same. Give me a yell if you want it

I picked up a R33 GTR hub bearing for $60 a few months ago from wreckers i know.

My wheel has movements too but it wasn't the bearing...check that its not the pillow pin joint for the lower control arm...that can cause movement in the wheel too.

NA's use a smaller bearing than is used on TT's and

if it's a pre-March 1990 NA it will even look different - it won't have the plate at the top with the three holes in it one of which holds a positioning pin for the handbrake shoes.

Talk to your local bearing shops. I just got mine from from a parts shop for $145. It came in a CBC box and CBC wanted $180 for the same thing. Use the NACHI numbers that K-Zed quoted, that'll really help them out. TIMKEN make a very reasonably priced bearing for your model wokburner ('93 TT I think) and should be cheaper than mine. For those that have the '89 - 03/90 Zeds like me, you need the CBC NJ246 bearing kit (it's actually an NTN bearing) that doesn't have the flange on top for the handbrake

I forgot to mention to everyone, that it's only the TTs that have this hub and bearing in one issue. The 89 NAs apparently are the same as 90 onwards. Just for future reference when someone searches this thread in 6 months time. Hello readers from the future!!!!:biggrin::biggrin:

Those prices I quoted were for my 89 bearing/hub kit. Yours will sureley be different. I wouldn't have thought that much though...
