I reversed the car out of my drive way today... i was hearing this clunk clunk noises when i'd play with the gear stick (no dirty thoughts) i turned it off and turned it back on. now it feels like the gearbox is locked. its as if i've got the handbrake on. i'll tell u what I do... i've have to have the clutch in when i start the car. its as if its stuck in gear. in neutral it'll roll if u push it but if u take ur foot off the clutch it'll stall as if ur in gear. and it doesn't matter what gear its in... i take my foot off the clutch and it stalls even if i give it a bit of gas. I'm thinkin its the throw out bearing. coz its always made a noise when i had the clutch out and when i put it back in it'd go away. plus when i had the clutch put in the guy had no idea and i was really regretting taking it there.
Sounds like you've somehow selected two gears. Maybe just try to select deselect each gear? Or maybe a selector fork has broken? The gear box would need to be removed and repaired.
