I just came back after having not driven my car for 4-5 days. It had a flat battery(first time this has happened) and I also have this terrible wobble at around the 2000krpm range.

    So far things on my list are;

    - Check AFM/Find Testing Replacement.
    - Clean Injector Plugs/Sockets.
    - Clean Air Filter.

I haven't tried any of these yet, but am leaving work soon to start. Any other ideas that I can try to find the issue?

    That is a good start

Also coilpack, ptu, cas plugs & sockets too. I think that is where your problem will lie.

Check all these things first, then post up if still have problems.

    Hi Brenton

Can you be more specific on the wobble, are you sure it's engine related, or could it be more mechanical / drivetrain related???

if it is engine, just get your datascan and shutdown one cylinder at a time to pinpoint. Otherwise look at crank pulley rubber and engine mounts.

Good Point Greg, It totally slipped my mind, but there was a tiny single spot of something at the back of the car on the floor last night, and I thought nothing of it. Perhaps its not totally engine related. Im heading home to investigate in 30 minutes or so and will see if there is any more oil.

That's a worry as I dont know where to start looking if thats the issue.

    So Drivetrain or Engine?

if it's a wobble only while driving then check things like Centre Bearing and engine mounts for a start.

If it's still "wobbling" when your not moving then it's an engine problem so see original posts to diagnose the connectors, etc...

    it wobbles idleing and moving....

same wobble too. Thats why i thought engine, but that spot of oil is now concerning me aswell. I put headlights in last night, so perhaps ive partly disconnected the AFM or something.

    Will advise.

had a go, and still no good.

I know my connectors are not the best condition, but they are now clean and issue still resides.

So in the siuation I am now, I am putting the call out anyone who has a conzult setup, spare AFM etc. etc. Ill pickup today or you can come over for beer/scotch whatever.

Thanks Benny, but I have decided im going to place an order with cazracing for the Blazt cable + software. I have the serial cable, but my new laptop doesn't have a serial port :/

I think Im getting somewhere with it, as its not so bad now. Definatly drivable. Found a serious bend in wire further up the fuel injector on 4 and after giving it a wiggle it came back. I have removed the bed and what i believe was the dodge wire. How it got bent, god wouldnt even know.

How well does solder go on injector cables?

About to give Gavin Wood a call. Looks as though its time for a tidy up.

Not quite sure what you mean by wobble, but if you mean Zed is not smooth [at idle, and moderate rpm] then it's likely a misfiring cylinder or 2. Clean ALL connectors: PTU, CAS, AFM, Injectors, coil packs, IACV etc. Re-tension the female pins and coat with dialectic grease when reassembling.

Assuming you've done all the above, you can do a fault code test by following the T/A: paper clip method is simplest.

See you on a cruiZe soon big fella :zlove:
