    Hi All,

My Z's been sitting in the garage for a few months, need someone with experience to diagnose and do some repairs. I think it's a boost leak or something to do with the fuel because when I give it some gas then let go it tends to want to stall, but I'm just guessing, I'm not very technical. I can start it and it's probably still driveable, but I haven't driven since this started, didn't want to risk doing further damage until it gets looked at.

I live in Derrimut, so if anyone near me or know of a good mechanic near me that I can take the Z to, that would be great.

    Thanks in advance

Check to make sure your throttle bodies are closing properly. From memory there is a little rocker cover pipes that tends to jam the drivers side TB open. Check to make sure they close properly.

I think your diagnosis is right ;)

Checking for leaks is not that technical ;)

I could probably check everything myself, but I just didn't want to stuff things up and make it worst, rather have someone experienced have a look at it. I don't expect someone to do it for free, am willing to pay as long as it gets fixed and I get it on the road again, miss driving it badly.

I know there's a good mechanic in Vermont (Dontex), but a little too far and don't know if the Z can make it that far, will need to get it towed, but probably the last resort if there isn't someone in the West that can do the job.

Won't be that, if the tb got stuck open by the valve cover breather you would have a rather high idle ;) I'd say boost leak, assuming it's running on all 6 (doesn't sound like a wrx) and nobody has tried to play with the base idle screw.
