Hey, im 17 and i'm going to be getting a 2+2 n/a in the next couple of months.. so wondering if people could tell me what their N/A's are pulling in terms of bhp/kw and if possible newton metres (nm) I've done searches on this site about it like "N/A power" (that comes up with power steering qn's) "N/A Horsepower" and stuff like that but no results... any way just seeing if you could let me know.
stock one pulls about 100-120kw at the wheels depending on auto / manual and how healthy the compression is. from there pretty much depends on how much you want to spend. head work, more flow and more compression is going to be the biggest gain but it ain't cheap. the bolt on method include: normal breathing mods i.e. intake + a good flowing exhaust will see it hit around 130rwkw @ the wheels. headers, chip it, freshen up the drivetrain with new clutch, lighter flywheel, UD pulley, lighter driveshaft and diff should see it into the 140-150rwkw region.
yup. if you're after power you best do as he suggests and just get a TT to begin with. fcking around with conversions can cost more than buying a TT zed.
he says he's 17, most likely on p's and probably wont be able to drive a turbo'd car for 3 years. Probably not a bad idea to liven up the n/a
yeah i agree if i want power to get tt, but the conditions of mum+dad giving me some of the money towards it was that i drive a N/A for aroudn a year first... + a tt is not really feisable on an apprentice budget lol but i was just after about the same power as mt mates r33 gts (N/A) and his dynod at 148 hp, so if i do a lil work on the N/A i buy it will easily pull that. Plus its a daily so..... P.S i knew the stock na came with like 168 kw... so i knew it would be around 120~~~ ish. Cheers guys
yeah i can 'Coz im in W.A.. but the insurance for a 17-18 yr with a tt import. Farrroutt. No ty. just got quoted 2.5k for a Stock standard 2+2 worth 10k N/A and thats heaps to me.
