Hi guys and gals, well finally I get to pickup my baby from Rollins in brissy on Saturday 5th March, NO WAY would i suggest using "carcarrying" firm as I have just been told after booking car in that a min of 15 cm is required on lowest point of car. they will NOT accept 14.5 or a tad less 15 is rock bottom,,,,,,,they will however suggest they can ddo with another company they use in emergency's but thats an extra 50% more on top of thier fee.........what a load of b****** Anyway my trouble is now I am booked to fly into brissy on saturday at 8.15am, no Rollin is going away friday nite , for a much and well deserved rest for a couple of days. I REALLY need help if some one could help me put on a new engine splash guard I am bringing up with me. I dont know anyone in brissy and driving back I really would love to have the guard on for safety. Can anyone PLEASE help me out.? Hey mate I used these guys to transport my zed. Lowest point was DEFINATELY under 15cm, in fact the corners of my douchebag cannons are probably under 10cm, front is a tad over 10cm tho. Most car transporters I looked at had a 10cm limit however the guys in the link over there didnt seem to mind what the clearance was (theres no specified limit on their website or any of their reading material when i went to the office) and when they conducted a vehicle inspection prior to hand over/take over they made no measurements whatsoever on my zeds ground clearance. Cost me $500 to get it moved from the depot in Canberra to my doorstep in Sale (country VIC)

So you are driving back to SA from Brisbane? Many people drive their cars without the splash guard. No averse effects, unless you plan to drive through rifver crossings at rally speeds. Similarly, as long as you have operational headlights, the benefit of HID's is nothing that High beams on the open road won't fix. Your main concern seems to be getting home, neither HID's or Splash guards will prevent this.
Why cant you guys relocate to cairns. Damn its annoying doing everythin on my own. No zedcare in NQLD (((

Brisbane is so spoiled for choice!! A2Zed, Rollin, Zedcare......wish we had just one of these guys in Sydney. They all do quality work at very reasonable prices.

Sorry but this comment struck me as odd and not true at all of the implied meaning against the general Z community. I am sure there are plenty on here that would love to help you out Aries but can't simply drop everything to help what you are essentially - a stranger - to install a couple of things not really necessary for an interstate trip, no matter that we are all connected by our passion for the Z. I think this thread and your PMs indicate the good will and helpfulness most members here have towards each other. If someone did negatively rebuke your request for help, such a comment as yours would be appropriate but in this case I feel it is out of place and character. I hope it all went well anyway and that you had a safe uneventful trip in your Z :zlove:...I just needed to comment on what struck me as something really odd to say in the face of the support shown.
