WA HELP ME! Tech day Jan 14th/15th

Hi guys I need some help!

I was driving last week down Roe hwy, when I smelt burning coolant. I looked down at the temp gauge, and as I did it shot right up! I pulled over straight away, and as I slowed, the car stalled. I popped the bonnet, and there was a lot of steam/ hissing coming from the drivers side of the engine toward the back quite low down. I just had the car towed home, and flew back to work the next day. I haven't started it again or looked at it at all.

Now the plan was to forget the zed for a bit, buy a daily run around, and start an overhaul of everything in the zed in the future. But i've just had a moment, and quit my job, which means that ill need to hold onto my savings for a bit, which is why i'm asking for your help! My car has a lot of problems, and when I say a lot, i mean ALOT! but I'm ok for it to only be running on 5 cylinders, constantly misfiring and backfiring, and creaking and clunking everywhere else like it has been for some time, but I just need it to go so I can get around.

There will be plenty of beer and food supplied, and I have space for about 4-5 cars on the driveway, as well as ample parking on the lawn.

If you are able to come around and help, I will be eternally grateful.

I'm not fussed which day it is on, or even if it spills onto both day, so let me know if there is a preference to which day is easier.

Even if you don't want to help out or don't need any work done on your car, feel free to stop by for a social visit, it would be good to catch up with some old faces. And new faces too of course!

Oh oh. Sounds like a blown coolant line on the drivers side turbo.

 

That's what Aidan said too. Easy or hard fix? I'm not overly concerned if I've cooked my engine (again) to be honest, as long as it still moves. At least for a little while longer.

Not impossible to get to it, just hard. Easy to replace the actual coolant line once you get to it. Of course, you could always pull the engine to make it really easy

 

Ahh I'd like to avoid pulling the engine again if possible haha it's been out far too many times in the last year!!

Na, I dont think I could fit all my tools in .
Kristen, are there any small parts, bits and pieces that you can think of that you might need, I could bring them along if I have them .

Actualllyyyy now that I think of it, I'm not sure what tools my dad even has, or where any of them would be :S
