Ok so who's a fan like me? Love the whole concept, its a cross between drift and vip style...It doesnt have to be fast, it doesnt have to be loud, doesnt have to be a mint example and it doesnt have to be top quality parts all the time. It's all about stance, wheel fitment and character etc, sort of making small personal touches etc... And not to mention a bike rack so you can ride around at the meets haha, It's mostly big in the states from what ive seen, but im wondering who's also into it over here, it might seem stupid but im after pics of Zeds with small simple roof bike racks, seems lame but im really liking it, heres what i'm banging on about Looks like I need some wheel spacers or a new set Thanks -Mikey
I'm a big fan, I frequent stance:nation It's a shame it's not as popular here, probably cause we have stupid laws preventing us from going low enough...
Same here, love it, makes zeds look sweet... that white one is definitely one of my faves, was featured on speedhunters a while back.
Yep, i'm a huge fan of hella flush look, with a nice low Zed. ...but not at the expense of uneven tyre wear or poor traction (ie: silly camber to get that look) I'd much rather go the effort and find the exact size and offset wheels/tyres combo to get the flush look while still keeping the wheels upright and safe with the proper sized tyre to fit the rim width. It's achievable with the right mods and enough effort to get them to all fit and work together. :zlove:
I think the best wheel width on the rear would be 10" +35, tightly rolled guards minimal camber with a 275/30. Found a nice set of Rays Volk GT-U 18x10 +36 with 18x9 +30 on the front, but i cant find a spare $4K
but thats not 'hellaflush' its about mass offset and huge width and making the wheel fit. camber is what makes the agressive stance work IMHO. personally i think the best fitment out is 18 x 9 + 15 all round. -3 to 4 camber. looks fantastic. recently got into stanceworks and will be doing a shoot for them. they are american based but gave a few free lance photographers out. current wheels are 19 x 8.5 + 15, 19 x 9.5 +25 running -4 camber with unrolled guards, soon to change and the zed will be lowerrrr. i reckon we need our owned slammed zed thread, less the "thats dangerous amounts of stretch" - no shit, were not fkning dumb, we like the look and are prepared to take risks. but i wont hold my breathe.
Im not wanting to cut everyone down, but i dont think any zed in Australia is hellaflush. The silvia boys know how to do it, but heres some examples of what i would call Hellaflush:
Rod is correct, those zeds have aggresive offsets but they are NOT hellaflush. That's a good thing though... Z's too classy for that kind of shit. Wheels that poke out 3 inches with no less than 5 degrees of camber becomes hellaflush. Personally though, what is considered actual hellaflush is rubbish IMO. Reduces performance, doesn't look all that good. It's kinda like those idiots who wear their pants at their knees. If you look at the American demographic who dig that hellaflush look, they usually ARE the ones who wear their pants round the thighs and need to take their BMX bikes round with their 'sick roofracks'.
Compared to the zeds posted, it is flush. I consider flush being the rim not the tyre sitting on the quarter. It was an example of what else is out there. And yes i dont like it that much either, yeah it looks different and pretty cool, but you have to have no suspension travel to make sure you dont hit the guards, and the tyre stretch to pull it off is nuts.
Hellaflush? More like toilet flush. The Z's posted up top look great (aside from the retarded bike racks), but "true" Hellaflush is just plain stupid. It sacrifices handling in favour of looking good, and all it's good for is earning internet points and impressing 15-year olds. It'll have as much appeal as tribal graphics and low-profile whitewalls in a few years.
its Mclarenf1kid's car from 300zxclub, unsure of specs though. used to have ce28's then went the veilside andrew 5's now he's got some 19" varrstoen's (another type of fake volk te37)
