Yep stock 300zx wont allow full boost when cold, the ecu wont allow it. This means when running without the stock boost solenoids connected you need to let the car reach operating temp before boosting hard.
worst thing of all is now there isw another person out there with a possible "Z's are unreliable dribble" spewing forth from his mouth, people need to learn cars cant be thrashed for ever
Somehow doubt it sold - unless he felt a touch over $2k was a good price & he grabbed at the deal before the buyer changed his mind! I'm guessing he saw this thread & figured maybe offering it for sale without a reserve was likely to end up being another mistake to add to his list... Surely the car owes him over $10k & it's not like people were fighting over the car with the top bid of $2k with only 3 days or so for the auction to run. Yeah, it's yours to have & to hold forever now!
...whooohoo - excitement & suspense continues. Will he get back the cost of the replacement engine? or Will this car sell for a new record price resulting in the owner deciding there's big money to be made out of buying, blowing up and reselling Z32's? One thing's for sure, this one's already well out of my price range!!!
A bullhorn turbo cooler and a bullhorn turbo intake. Sounds like it's not the only bull in that description.
We spent about 13,000 on it not including purchase price. In honesty it is good car, hhowever the driveline would have copped a beating recently. For anyone interested, check the diff and trans thoroughly, they were perfect.
Wow, so, $5400 - not bad! Well... pretty bad for the seller I guess - he's probably dumped more than $5000 on this car in the few weeks he's owned it. If anyone else is willing to pay $1000 per week to hire a Z32 - let me know cause I'll happily hire you mine!
