damn that woman at autoheat is a rude bitch. being all polite and enquiring about when the cores got dispatched. she plainly said yesterday and hang up... what the... anywho, ill be looking at getting mine mid next week... yew! regarding the moneys, may as well kitty the money and put it towards the development of this site and or funds to maintain its operation. cheers.
I'm with Sanouske, put my $15 into the site development/operation! My core arrived at work today I think. Unfortauntely I'm not at work to open it up and have a look =( But I'm sure its all good =) All this begs a question though: is a dash pull more painful than an engine pull? lol Thanks for the well organised group buy !
You'd only want to do this once, painfull yes! All this begs a question though: is a dash pull more painful than an engine pull? lol
how are we all attempting this? i read in the tech section there is 2 ways. dash off and dash on with tight spots. im opting for the tight spots. being 6'4 and fairly large hands i love tight spots =/. but i dont really want to pull the dash. whats peoples ideas?
thank you to all of you for making my first group buy go smoothly! i've already started on mine. i think i'm about a third of the way there. i'm going for dash out for a few reasons. 1. I can smell coolant everytime my car is at running temp, i wanna clean out all the hoses and pipes. 2. i hate doing things blind, it sounds really fiddly dash in and i prefer a straight forward approach. it takes more time but i love working on my car. 3. i'm crazy enough to try anything once! i'm down to the support brace and i'm gonna start again tomorrow morning. my advice is to TAKE YOUR TIME, be gentle with the old plastic, i haven't really had to force anything so far, so if something isnt giving check for more bolts and screws.
D-M ..received mine today .. an excellent g/b, especially given the multiple early distractions ..... mine is, as yet, unpacked and will await the day when the core in my second zed will announce that it is time for a transplant .. once again, many thanks for a top effort ....
I take it with confidence that this is solely directed at me. But anyway, no big deal. We all got the cores from the same mob, fast shipping and a good price either way. I just wanted people to know that their website wasn't up to date and there was an option of two different cores. All good though, everybody is a happy camper now. Now get to work installing them fellas!
"solely directed at me ...." .... not at all ..!!!! .. read post again "... multiple early distractions ..." ... fortunately the world does not revolve around you ... way too egocentric, for mine ... lol..
Well, the majority of the so called 'distractions' (which I like to think of as 'customer awareness' but whatever floats your boat). Egocentric, well you're old. Please, no need to respond...eek... tehe
Arrived this morning, all nicely boxed up and in a express post bag. Now to the install... Thanks again for this. Cheers.
Given my learned friends advanced age(which you, as a supercilious pedantic whacker, have graciously pointed out), I have elected to reply on his behalf.:zlove:
i dont know if i've got mine yet. im on Christmas Island for work =/ Can you send my excess money to the forum as a dontation please?
yeah i put mine in over the weekend, dash out. it was madness, pipes and trim and nuts and bolts all over the place. i still dont have a heater either, i'm waiting til the 100k service so i only have fresh coolant running through the core i'm glad i did though, from the looks of the heater box, i wouldnt have been able to do it dash in. i actually kind of enjoyed myself! i'll need to put a list together of everyone whos got their core and who wants to donate and stuff, if you do want your money back that's perfectly fine, just need to pm me your bank details.
