so im going to replace my head gasket, what are peoples thoughts on the bare minimum to be replaced and checked,

then also the things that might aswell be replaced and lastly things that dont need to be replaced but while its out why not.

and also where to get head bolts and head studs, looking at running 310hp atw from a stock engine with bolt ons.

    Thankyou Ryan

Yep, need to know that. If it got too hot then get the heads hardness tested.

Bare minimum to replace head gaskets is:

    Full engine gasket kit
    Head bolts/studs
    Coolant etc.

I'd be getting the parts from COZ in the states.

Niall's tip - Get ARP head studs instead of new OEM head bolts

get the head looked at if its slightly twisted when its faced then it will bend your cams and snap them sooner or later.
If its leaking coolant into the cylinders its likely its overheated at some point and being aly heads the will warp easy

Head bolts are single use items. They stretch with use, so will not have appropriate tension when used the second time. You can re-use them, but reliability will suffer.
