    Hey all,

Ive had servere hatch/boot rattle since I got my Brizilian done.

I tried tightning all screws on the interior plastic, sticky tapping speaker wires together and to the body of the car so they cannot wobble around and tap the plastics etc... Nothing ever worked.

Last night I tried something differnt, I checked the screws of my 3rd brake light panel and they were loose, I tightend the screws by hand... Will tighten properly soon with rachet.

Also, with the boot closed, I reached and held both sides of the hatch and wobbled it and even though it was still securely closed, I was able to very slightly wobble it... I believe this has something to do with the latching mechanism which is located behind the centre panel of the rear lights...

But what ever I did, its worked, no more rattles

I will pull apart the plastic and get a look at the latch over the duration of the weekend, any recommendations on what I should do with it? :D

Thanks all and enjoy your weekends :zlove::zlove::zlove::zlove::zlove:

loosen it, and push it down slightly then retighten. check if ur boot closes, if not you pushed it down to far... repeat untill u get it right... this will hold the hatch closer to the body... also check your rubber stoppers on the sides are they there? and also check out the weather strips etc ??

    red32 You talkin' to me?

The latch for the hatch has 3 bolts holding it which are located in 3 slots, to allow for vertical adjustment. If your hatch "wobbles", loosen the latch and drop it dowm 1 or 2 mm and retighten. Repeat until the wobblr/rattle has gone away!

If I put silicone on the ends of the rubber stoppers would this help?

I think the threads have been screwed on mine, because I can't tighten them properly... they get a little bit tight, then 'pop' they are loose again

This hatch rattle has been driving me crazy for months!!!

Also, I didn't know there were meant to be rubber stoppers! Photo please? Where can I get some replacements?

geez use lock tight or what ever its called that thread glue stuff...

the rubber stoppers are just 2 big fat stumps on the cornors of the inside of your boot lid.

    Hypothetically, what if...

You couldn't drop the hatch latch any lower because the elongated slots wouldn't allow you to go any lower ?
What should a boy do then ? I won't mention round files, even if they DO achieve a result.
