I put Tungsten Disulphide in the gearbox and diff of my bike last week, and the difference is extrordinary. I was just curious, to see if anybody has used one of these two products in their Zed. GT
I've used MOLYFORM powder which is Molybdenum Disulphide in the gearbox of other cars I've owned that had a "notchy" gearbox and it seemed to improve the feel.
I used Molybdenum Disulphide in the gearbox of an MGB I had back in the 60s. As Chewy said it quietens them down. Don't know what long term use will do though.
I would like to know what the long term outcome would be.. I have a loose rear bearing in my box and in 2nd, 4th and reverse. Its harmless at this stage but thinkening up the lubrication has been recommended...
Try one off the nulon products in the gear box, I added some to my 4x4 nissan 5 speed after two boxes died in three years, there just shit boxes by the way, anyway the latest box had nulon added at 1000k and has since had no problems three years later.:thumbsup:
The use of: HI G.T. I was wondering if you could assist with some more information in regards to the two products you mentioned before - Molybdenum Disulphide and Tungsten Disulphide. Can I purchase these products at a 'car-parts' store or at a specialised engineering firm?
