I pulled the engine out of my car and it is the perfect opportunity to remove the EGR. But i need some info as some of the metal hoses go into the plenum. Are the holes in the plenum supposed to be blocked off and if there are other lines that i must block or just simply bypass the egr (when i take it out).Thanx!

    i have removed mine >>

all you have to do is make 2 plates to cover where those 2 metal pipes entered the pleneum also there is a metal pipe that goes to the exhuast manifild which you will need to bend over and weld also. cant remember if there was any vacume hoses that needed to be sorted out thou. hope that helps

    Exactly

Also removed the remainder of the AIV plumbing (exhaust end), the two solenoids and exteranious vacuum lines. 4mm plug fits under the throttle body and the inlet to turbo. Boost gague sensor fits straight onto balance pipe. Left plugs for solenoids tucked out of the way tidily. All clean in that corner now. BTW cupboard fast filling with 'bits'.Henry

    Sounds like my cupboard......>>

The amount of useless crap that no longer takes up space on my car is growing. Of course there is the odd useful item mixed in, like the mirrors and overflow reservoir.
