Hands covered in blood and pissed off :angry:

So I spent all day yesterday putting the interior back in after replacing the heater core. Also completed:

Boost Gauge install
Fixed Clock resistors
Modded Cruise Control
Replaced about 6 bulbs
etc....

And left today to put some new heater hoses on as I had to cut one to get it off and the other was on it's way out. I bought 4 different after market hoses that looked a close match and hacked each one to different lengths etc.. to get it to fit and no joy. Ended up just cutting up my hands more than anything else... :angry:

SO! I've decided to just use OEM heater pipes as they fit for a reason. My question now is does anyone either have any new ones for sale, or know anywhere I can get some quickly in AUS for a good price? I think they are about $50 each from Nissan, and worst case I'll just bite the bullet and get them (but does anyone know the part number?), but if there was another option I'd rather go that way.

Buy them from conceptzperformance. I got mine from there and its

a lot cheaper but if you need them in less than a week then you would need to go nissan australia

But it just seems so stupid that we can guy nissan OEM ones for $26 from USA and it's $100 locally... do nissan Australia really get screwed that much on these from Nissan worldwide? Or are just getting the big end of the fist from them?

No, this was an order through Coz, Phone, email 24th I was charged for

them on the 27th,and still waiting and no , I won't put in a flexible line

I would and measure the restrictor hole size, as over oiling seems to cause problems ,especially ball bearing turbos . Over oil oil causes bearing failure, they over heat.

 

Coz is excellent with off-the-shelf supply

But if 'ordered-in' ... depends on NISSAN USA stocks.

 

He probably didn't have them in stock so had to order from

someone else. This happened to me. One of the things I wanted he didn't have and he had to order elsewhere which held things up. If he has the "stuff" he is usually fairly quick getting it out. Good luck.

 

Hey groonsnout, I ordered an extra set of heater hoses from Coz a few days

ago, not sure if they have actually left USA yet but you are welcome to them when they get here if you still dont have any.
