Wow, for once I actually agree with aK Drink driving is a foolish and down right stupid thing to do. And even if you have learnt your lesson you do kinda deserve a lecture. You are a LUCKY IDIOT And the rest of us are lucky too you didn't hit anybody. We are all stupid sometimes, and I think you got away the possibly best way. No real damage but you've been severely lectured. Hope you learn and fix up the ZED in the meantime. If you don't have to spend too much on taxis and alternative transport, just imagine the dollars you can save from not driving the ZED.
Damage doesn't look to bad. 1st thing is first, learn from it, don't get slack and think you will get away with driving to the milk bar on no license because it's the time you go 1 street away that you will get busted and then shit just gets worse and worse. If you have a prior driving record, you have a very slim chance of getting a nice magistrate/judge these days. A good friend of mine just got out of the clink for a similar incident, he had a few driving priors and got a tight ass magistrate and ended up in the clink for 4 months. It wouldn't surprise me if you get hit with a large fine / loss of license for 2+ years or even something worse. You have a 0.01% chance of being let off lightly (lightly meaning 1+ year with no license and a reasonable fine maybe $800) Enjoy the AA meetings
How do we know that AK ==> hasnt lost a friend or family member in the past from this kind of activity, you never know he may have every right to feel this way, personally I agree with him. We all make mistakes thats human nature, its the magnitude of the mistakes that seperates a normal human from a moron.
