Shifter, he isn't having a go at you or you car, or anything for that matte

r.. All he is asking is for someone who claims to be Australias best 300zx tuner and engine builder to simply explain WHY the curves are so different when the mods are almost the same? Is it so hard to do? I didn't think it would be considering he did all the work on them both and is such an expert in the area of engine building.

    Shifter need I remind you....

that Method bought up the question on the kit and YOU and JOHN made the comparisons to MY car and MY dyno curve before me even saying a single word on the topic! An important point I think.

John has then moved it to the main forum for the expressed purpose of making it into a public argument rather than on a quiet side thread. You can thank him for that not me.

So sorry if you've now opened a box that you want to close, but you shouldnt of gone there in the first place if you didnt want it discussed.

Im not knocking your car, as you said its built to how you want it and your happy with it and thats fine. But since John bought it up I want to know why the difference in the results. I mean he's flogging these kits based on his dyno chart and now it looks to me like thats just a dodgy chart. No one has made any claims or explanations to the contrary yet. Fine if neither of you want to answer it, but I hope at least the community take note when considering this kit.

    Perhaps he should pay attention

    John already said

I also run the pulley driven fan so more parasitic losses there. Also his being a race car runs higher boost and fuel pressure etc so obvious that explains higher peak power.

Also what do race cars run more of then daily drivers? How about timing?? Mine is currently a bit on the retarded side for now as well. Like I said in my opening dyno post, its capable of much more with upgrades to fuel system, timing etc, and if I was to replicate all of the mods the slot car has the spool would be even quicker.

    True

Dont know why the turbo kits was brought up but when Method said yours had a better power curve than Johns slot car I was just interested to see your dyno (as could not find it).

Despite off topic some good information was brought up and good it moved to main forum before the thread was deleted (by VTD or mods judging by the way its going and the subjects relevance to topic).

The box can stay open, but you can cut this sort of crap

You can quit badgering people for information or baiting them making UAS feel they have to defend themselves to YOU (of all people!)

If you dont want to take UAS's word for it Zisluv, take mine. A brilliant job was done and at the end of the day, I'm driving mine.

    Well said Wayne

But wasting your time I am sad to say.
Zisluv I have explained the differences why difference in power delivery plus another factor I just realised more timing with C16 in mine, and thus more timing if comparying the 456rwkw. I am not going further into it as you will be sure to dig up some off track incorrect verbal.

Zisluv you keep asking for proof and graphs where are your dyno graphs anyway? I thought you made 514rwhp anyway but you often creep things up or down a bit to suit. What power on Dyno Dynamics and graph for that with out Nitrous??

    Zisluv

What is this and if you can't tell me what planet you are from maybe what language or colourscheme or code so I can communicate with you as this egnlish word thing is not working. Do you only talk stats and graphs? Shifter has again explained what I wasted my time explaining it seems re the differences in engines and reposted my quote.

Dyno graph is good but can be fudged or vary a bit and hub dyno as I mentioned and Shifter experienced showed around 30 plus more rear wheel kws so ? But 139.67mph enough stats for you?

    More info and pics

    Sorry still dont see it

John has said he uses 100 octane. You would be using 98 with octane booster so not far off.
All the "differences" are nothing except for the 1mm valves, which I dont imagine could be responsible for the difference. The entire power curve is moved to the right, not just a segment. Even before boost is being generated there is HUGE power difference.

And if you expect me to "cut this crap", how about you go and cut/paste/quote every little dig that was made by John prior to me even posting on this comment. This whole "I'm going to start a fight then pretend Im the good guy" got old years ago and Im suprised John or yourself still even tries it.

I guess we just put this one down to a "mystery" and let members make up their own minds.

Lol, look at the date on your dyno

Edited as its just not worth arguing with you John.
I think its enough to say that the shop you so often mock, and call their ideas wrong, who actually test their products rather than pretend to, just ran a 9 second pass in a car 300kg heavier than yours. Enough said really.
The dyno comparisons in the first post speak volumes for themselves.

Perhaps to get some more useful information out of this thread...

Could you guys (with the idea of giving a just comparison of the two turbos) give us an idea of what it would require to fit the PE1420s?

It is all good to say that $8k is overpriced, but the kit includes a whole bunch of bits and pieces that you would otherwise have to custom fabricate (Tektrader went through all this I beleive), the kits makes them a bolt-on item with nothing left but labour cost to fit them, yes?

So the PE1420s, are they bolt on?

    Egg ....

    ummm

Not a mystery really... it was a groupbuy for Koyo radiators not UAS twin pass. And I think Nathan took exception to JP's comments about Koyo being no good or just bling.
Then Method mentioned your car and then the usual crap happened. (damn entertaining really)
And that General was the Propoganda Minister... he's landed a choice job for a Arabic TV station now. :)

    What shop

Zisluv I don't know what shop you are talking about so bit hard to knock. Or is the a Koyo zed shop? Who's ideas
Date on dyno is this your code talk again like it is in the future or something August last year. Do you have to be so argumentative and dig up anything. How did you end up like this anyway? You are like my kids yappie lap dog.

How often if ever does this 9 sec zed go to the circuit or drift and NOS and probably slicks? Left out.

Also re dyno note at that point run number 395 and now well over 400 and yes that is testing. Lots of pretending going on. Also note intake temps with this power 10 C above ambient FMIC.

Still waiting for your dyno readings rather than doctored plots?????????????????????

I THOUGHT JOHN EXPLAINED IT PRETTY BL&^%%*Y SIMPLY!

Why is the curve different! Because the components arent all "exactly the same" as has been repeated here a few times. They are similar, similar doent mean the same in engines:wacko:. Not to mention the massive time that John has put into the development and tune of his race engine, and a slightly more no doubt conservative tune for a street car. I got it straight away and dont understand the confusion:unsure:.

    Twisting things again.

I found this 9 sec zed you must be talking about as I just saw it on this forum and checked it out. Greg Dupree from Specialty Zed who I have never spoken to and know nothing about them. You have again and you again put words in my mouth as you do, or at a minimum twisted a comment I must have made somehow in general. Where did I ever mock them? This is ridiculous and you do it often, you can't just jumble words or change letters Nathan.

    Zisluv
Also you should tell the whole story if using it.
This car although very impressive did a 9.94 so only just made it, has 100 shot of NOS according to ttnet profile which may not be up to date?
Tricked up auto tranny with a 4000rpm stally and probably slicks and ran same speed as me 139mph, so probably has similar power with NOS and has the tranny and stall compared to my stock shift gearbox. Mine would run high 9s with that gear too but I don't want to as mainly a circuit car.
