hmmm, yes, probably... I recently bought over $4k worth of body kit gear ect from a UK website & though the seller kindly lowballed the value on the customs paper work which worked for import duty, some coffee addict gov worker still slugged me pretty hard on GST. Must have had f'n xray eyes to come up with his own 'value' because the box hadn't been opened... Anyway, it was just an idea.
I am putting together a Valvoline GB, this will cover oil, oil filters and possibly coolant concentrate. I have prices for oil and filters locked in, just need to get the coolant price sorted to see if it will be worthwhile. This will be for 10W50 Synpower full synth oil only, in 5 litre bottles; VO4 oil filters only, and G-05 coolant concentrate only. Please don't ask for other grades - based on past experience I am not going to do it. This GB has to be delivered to me here in Melb; this means the GB will pretty much be limited to Victoria, SA, ACT and Sydney. Victorians can pick up from me; I will be travelling to SA in November, and ACT/Sydney probably in August or September. Whilst I have posted oil interstate (to Qld and SA) before, current postage costs probably make it not economic to continue to do that. I expect the GB to be up in the next 7-10 days. When was the last time a group buy was done on the 100thou service kit? maybe through 'Caz1' or whoever. Isn't the Aus $ sort of up there with the US $ at the moment. Just a thought.
