    Hi guys,

I noticed there was some interest on QFM performance pads in this thread:
    http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=278494

So I figured I'd gauge some interest here with the same deal that we offer on Skylines Australia.

8 sets available to suit DB1170 (Front) and DB1220 (Rear), suit R32 GTS-T, R32 GTR, R33 GTS, R34 GTT, 300ZX etc. Fit anything with the standard 'Nissan' 4 pot/2 pot front and rear brakes. Also available are HPX pads to suit the Brembo calipers as well if anyone's running those on their 300ZX, PM me for details.

    - 8 sets of front and rear QFM HPX suit standard Nissan brakes. $79 + $39.50 + $12.50 shipping = $131 delivered!

QFM's Performance Street pads fall into two compounds. The first is the HPX pad which is an excellent choice for street cars looking for excellent braking performance whilst retaining all the qualities of a good street pad. The HPX pads are ideal for high performance street cars looking for higher working temperatures with reduced fade, and also for Four Wheel Drives or vehicles looking to enhance their towing capacity or safety. The HPX pads unlike many pads in this performance range are virtually dust free, whilst maintaining low rotor wear.

QFM's second high performance street pad is the A1RM compound and provides QFM with its club sport track pad. It is ideal for high performance street cars that take to the track to test the limits, whilst still being a streetable pad. The A1RM is ideal for club level rally and hill climb where brakes are required right from the first corner!

    SPECIFICATIONS
Formulation - Cold Friction - High Friction - Temperature ?
    HP-X - 0.41 - 0.42 - 0-550
    A1RM - 0.40 - 0.48 - 0-780

A1RM pads will be available in Sep group buy both on Skylines Australia, and here if there's enough interest, or else PM me now if you're desperate.

    For more information checkout www.qfmperformance.com

With such a limited number of pads, it's first in first served by PM with people's full name, delivery address (preferably business), and email and I can email through an invoice with direct deposit details, or else I can also do credit card over the phone if that helps.

    Any questions let me know.

    Greg

A set of fronts to suit R33 GTR Brembos and standard Z32 rears. Understand that there will be a wait, but that is fine.

    Hi mate,

In which compounds? The HPX or A1RM? If its just the HPX then I've got the Brembo fronts and normal rears ready to go on the shelf now. I'm happy to split a front/rear HPX set in this case.

Pricing for the Brembo pads is a little higher as its a custom pad that we get made by supplying backing plates, so the HPX is $110 and the A1RM is $149.

So for Brembo front and normal rear in HPX would be $110 + $39.50 + $12.50 = $162 shipped.

    Other wise A1RM pricing Brembo front and normal rear would be $149 + $59.50 + $12.50 = $221.

    Cheers,
    Greg

Sorry, fancy compound for me. A1RM. $221.

How's this work, just pay when we're ready or wait till we get the numbers?

    Trev,

Probably not, because the Brembo stuff if a custom order with supplied plates, they won't want to break it up into a pickup and freight. QFM will just send the whole lot to us, so no more expensive there, and yeah, they'll be just the usual $12.50 from us to you. Sorry mate, I know it seems pointless :bash:

Cool, I'll let you know when the front Brembo's are in. I've got stock of the rear normal A1RM if you were chasing them ASAP, or else shouldn't be any more than a month on the fronts.

Because QFM don't keep any of the performance stuff on the shelf, and only make it on request (be in HPX, A1RM or their Comp Pads), I sort of work the group buy backwards. I get a heap of stock in allocated to the group buy, then just take payments and send out.

If I were to collect money, then order, it could take up to a month, meaning some people could wait 2 months for pads which is unacceptable. This way, I know what I've got available, make limited numbers available at the group buy price... If that makes sense?

    Cheers,
    Greg

I know most of you guys probably do to track work, but don't be put off by the HPX. It still a very good pads, with the same level of performance as say something like a Bendix Ultimate, but without the dust or rotor wear of the Bendix.

That said, if you do do track work, the A1RM is definately the best of both street and track.

Other than costing more is there any down side to the A1RM pads? My car is mostly a weekend car with the occasional track day, though they are looking like becoming more frequent. The wait does not bother me, my pads have a bit of life in them yet.

Only really dust, and *slightly* higher rotor wear... The seem to dust badly when you fist put them in, but then come better through out the pad life, where as the HPX, although putting out a fine layer, is certainly alot less than EBC Green stuff, lucas, Bendix ultimate etc.

The A1RM is only a 0.48 friction co-ef pad, so slightly higher than normal street pads, whilst retaining good bite. We're on our second set of A1RM in the rally car, and there's negligible rotor wear or lip. Other than that, their cold bite is still fine for the street (and we've got 100% brakes flying into the first corner of a stage in a rally), but does require slightly harder pressure when cold, just the same as TRW Lucas pads do if you've tried those.

If you have the intention of doing track stuff, and don't a little dust, stick with the A1RM, if you're you're just after a good street pad, that will withstand a run over the mountains, take the HPX.

Also, as a side note, regardless of which pad you go, make sure you have good fluid. HPX pads with RBF600 fluid, will out perform A1RM with crap fluid as an example....

    Thanks for that.

I will wait for the A1RM pads to become available then.

I got my fluid flushed and replaced late last year and it did make a big difference.

Just to let everyone know, I'll have a stack of the A1RM in front and rear in about 2 weeks. In the meantime, there's still 4 front and rear HPX packages! :p

Just had a look, the low temp and high temp coefficients look quite good and the temperature range is excellent as well.

I'm keen on trying a set of A1RMs on the fronts. Will wait for the GB.

    Cheers
