I bought one of these from ebay and have just installed it. I'm quite impressed with it. If your car is stolen you can track it down. I see the seller has another ten for sale starting at $195.
    Auction finishes Sunday.

    Tow away

Even with a zid, thieves can still tow or truck your Zed away. With the tracker you should be able to find it.
You can send a text message that will cut the ignition, lock the doors, blow the horn etc.

I believe it can triangulate a UBD reference as long as it has mobile reception.

Time will tell when I get it installed.

But regardless, cheap additonal insurance for my baby for $195.

Best part besides the tracking is to be able to dial in and listen to the conversation in the car, and also trigger various electrical conditions like remote FPCU cut off or screamer sirens etc.

Gonna be fun putting it in.

    Cheers

I bought a backup battery with mine for $10 extra

Just need to get a fast switching diode from Prime Electronics so I can wire it all in, otherwise if the battery is pulled, the system stops working.

Battery lasts 24 hours or so.

Why does the diode need to be fast switching?

a normal rectifying doide should do the trick.

Re: Why does the diode need to be fast switching?

Install instruction specify a "DIODE SCHOTTKY 3A"

So rather than just use an ordinary diode, will get the fast switching one (Just in case).
