hey what about the bov should i take them out ive got them where the pod filters, not in the midlel of the engine.
I swear I get ignored! - its almost hurtful that they think that its not even worth targeting a P plater driving a zed! Used to get pulled over regularly in my corolla... even got fined in it (not speeding)... havn't been pulled over once in almost a year... and should have!
I have a few contacts. Let me know your daily itinerary and I'll see what I can arrange to make you feel better.
can't see or hear dont worry about it seriously though... book into midland... pull your tint off, good chance you will be waved over 2nd round of mine pulled up, drove on pit, wheel to left, wheel to right.. passed (clunk in right wheel on work order) was on for less then 1 min
we got a blitz going on up here they are randomly stopping people and going over cars with the goal of stickering as many as possible (Its an out of town squad doing the blitz), I saw a stock as falcon with xr8 skirts on today with a canary, random stop and they found rust i8n the floor of the boot, cant see it from the top due to sound insulation but they could with a torch from underneath. from the outside looked as good as gold, tough luck. Another mate had his impounded by the same squad his car is lowered so they wanted to check that, he also has an outstanding fine so he got away with the lowering, it was always supposed to be legal but lost the car for 28 days. OK pay your fines. but both chaps were told by the same cops that pulled them up that the cops were here on a mission to sticker or impound as many cars as possible. if That aint crap I dont know what is.
me either, no ps though, but been expecting it since i got the zed and they look at me every single time i go past (like a few times ive seen them even stop radaring/paying attention to person pulled over and turn their heads) but never any more. and i live in rockingham where you cant drive from safety bay (suburb im in) to the shops and back without seeing a cop car lol. also used to get pulled over regularly in my old corolla (it was an 84 and thats the car i talked my way out of all the yellow stickers in) thought that was just because i was a p plater and they were picking on me but once i got the falcon hardly ever got pulled over (was still on ps).
Hey guys not wanting to be a naysayer, but can we please not use derogatory terms for police. Terms such dogs, pigs, etc. does not help your argument. Very sorry to hear that you were pinged for tint, and got a canary. Have you thought about contacting a registered engineer to have you car certified. As the ADRs don?t specify levels of tint, but visibility levels. As an engineer, (no I am not a signatory), and based on my experiences with the registrations mobs for my car, I can assure you that if I did a set of checks to ensure that you are able to see all around you it would be certified. It won?t stop you be hit with a canary from a zealous police man, that chooses to ignore the facts presented to him (actually nothing would). However, it would enable you to at least recoup your costs for the inspection (and time off work), unlike the current position for you. Also, if anyone feels that they have been unfairly targeted, or grilled for minor issues, take it up with the relevant police station, your minister, etc. Remember to be prepared with what you want to say, well dressed, and always polite and softly spoken. Remember the louder they talk, the softer you talk (not a wisper). Or, roll over and be a well trained member of the masses and pay your fine, as you know the logic is all hoons drive nice cars such as the 300zx, and all hoons cars should be crushed.
so where can i go to find an engineer who could say that i can see trough my tints all around. wouldnt it be spencier than go trough the pits?
You still need to go through the pits anyway. So yes you are looking at getting an engineer to look at your tint and say if it is ok If he says yes then it is no guarantee that it will still pass the pits. More likely but not guaranteed. If he says no then you end up paying him and having to get your tint removed. A shit of a job doing it yourself.
im very pacient so i will take my tints out my self and thats it, dont want to complicate my life more than it is, thanks guys.
The ADR's may not specify a level of tint, but various Codes of Practise do and they are admissible in court. 35% is dark enough, if you want more than that then I think you are a bit silly.
well i dont really mind how dark are they, i didnt know they were that dark, i bought the car with them on, moreover i dont even going to put them anymore they cost 300 bucks to install them, with 300 more i buy my seat covers from ebay and the trim.
Yeah its purely for looks after that, its dangerous at night time that's they increased the required light to 35%. If your only driving the car during the day fine... but if not , too dangerous.
