Hey ladies and gents.. got my zed on the road after it sitting in the garage for months.

needed a new steering rack as the old one was leaking oil.. and few other RWC bits and pieces like wipers etc..

i recently sold my soarer so i figured why don't i get the zed on the road, never driven one so it will be an experience.

its a simple non turbo 89 z32 2+2 .. standard gray trim, cruise control, auto transmission.. TARGA top which im fond of, and i have just fitted a nice kenwood deck and a sub/amp and getting some splits for the front soon, so ill have a decent system to keep me happy - its also got my 20x9.5 HP design rims off the soarer as i sold the car without them. looks quite nice i admit..

apart from that.. stock standard, future plans are to go extractors, full 'zorst', new polished radiator, new hoses and intake pipes just a spruce of the engine bay really.. and maybe some aftermarket suspension.

and im getting a full respray in 2 weeks when i go for a holiday so the car wont sit there doing nothing.

now my question is.. what is the "HOLD/POWER" switch near the auto gear shifter ? whats it do.. can someone explain that for me ?

    thanks dudes..

    Firstly welcome :)

Ive got a manual but im pretty sure its the same as most other autos ive ever driven

It just changes when the gear shifts to a higher RPM, so if you plant your foot it will change later rather than sooner, so you use all of the rev range rather than just the first 4 thou

Although someone correct me if im wrong :)

    how uninformative

the power hold button revs a little further the normal automatic gear change and the hold button keeps the box in 2nd gear during a takeoff....you would use your hold button in wet conditions and taking off from the lights when it is raining.

your 'power' automatically comes on when you plant your foot as well, the button doesnt need to be on for it to automatically kick in
