got $10,000 after a tt 2 seater manual any suggestions guys?

I lol'd when I first seen that blue zed on gumtree for sale. It has all sorts of bad feelings associated with it. There is a stick I know, which doesn't like touching that one.

Tom or 300zxc is right. The engine bay begs of potential problems which won't be freely advertised.

If what you're after is an already done wanky car that you're happy to sink money into tidying it up, if not possible major engine work, it's a starting point. The body looks tidy (if you like that style kit), paint seems ok. Interior can do with minor alterations. But driveline rework might see this worth a few grand less then what's being asked.

Personally i would walk away. But that's me.

What are you aiming for in a zed? List what you realistically would be happy with, knowing finding a modified zed which pleases your flavours along with a strong driveline which is reasonably priced, are needles in big hay stacks.

After knowing what you're after we can keep our eyes open for you.

 

Unless you have reciepts for driveline work or you know someone personally that has rebuilt , there is no way of telling .

Sanouske has nailed it . A needle in a haystack . But unfortunately young guys are too bedazzled by body kits and rice add ons that they cant look away . The instant wow factor they get when they pull up into Maccas is im sure what most would be aiming for .

Unfortunately unless you go throu the heartache , money and time to rebuild . You will never realise until you wake up from the mist of grandure .

I dont want to put a downer on anyones buying experience , just want if at all possible to let young blokes in on where most of us have been .

 

thanks i love the help and mainly i do like the look, as wanky as it is i still like the look and the paint is newish as is the leather interior. The guy is now saying that it has a misfire as it does not get started much so he never mentioned that and i dont know if i shouold be worried. what i really wanted was a good black 2 seater manual tt with leather interior that has some aftermarket mods or not even is just in good condition mechanically and bodywise. That being said i have been shown the link of the black tt for 4500 that is listed on here but it has no exhaust and that is all that is worrying me.

Ah yeah that black one on the forum with no exhaust. If i had the coin I'd buy it. Mainly for driveline to transplant into our current blue zed. But the misses agreed that it's in too fair of shape to strip.

Exhaust can be had cheaply from eBay for a 2.5 stainless kit. Cheap but usable quality. Body I recall want perfect but priced accordingly. Engine could do with a service as always but looks reasonable.

Where is this blue one located? Also where in sleepwithyourdadelaide do you live? Lol.

Ps i too would like a black slick tt with leather interior. But I also have a mortgage. So you'll beat me to it I think.

Me im in wattle park top of kensington road, the blue is located @ renmark but i have my on another. This one was rebuilt by barry @ adelaide Z cars less then 5000k ago apparently. What does everyone think of this one?

looks alot better. doyour homework, ask to see receipts or have a chat to barry at the z shop.

 

Looks good and if truely rebuilt I would go for it . Get more photos , copy of reciepts etc .
