Hey dudes. I drive my car a lot and heel and toe rev matching is pretty much second nature. Have had a button clutch in from day one pretty much so it's uncomfortable not to. I don't so much heel and toe, more like, roll my foot over and use the top/side of my foot, if that makes sense? It's part of my driving habit, and HATE being in a manual car that isn't driven this way. A while ago, i bought a MOMO pedal cover set, but i was pretty surprised at how shit they were and have been driving around with a naked clutch pedal (which i like for some reason...) a now totally worn rubber and metal brake pedal and the stock accelerator pedal. My question to you is, what is a good pedal set i can get my missus to buy me for Christmas? Needs to be heel and toe friendly, preferably bringing the acc pedal closer to the brake and obviously non slip. (I know it doesn't bring the whole pedal closer obviously, but you know what i mean.) Any suggestions? I know it might seem a little silly to be askin such a question, but yeh it's a big thing for me, just one of this little particulars or 1%'ers that add to the enjoyment of driving. Thinking about something like this. Thanks, Elie
I've got an old monza set. it works well, but can be cumbersome to drive if your shoes are wider style dress shoes, as they catch on the pedal covers. You can adjust pedals too, so I guess any set would be fine if set up OK. When I wear my doc martens, the sole is really rubbery and the leather is soft, so I can just step on the break with the big toe, then press the pedal with my other 5 toes to blip the throttle... so yeah, good pedals ore good, but the shoes you wear, and the setup of the pedal heights should also be given some thought.
AVT alloy pedals. removes the rubber and screws directly to the pedal. Z1 sell them http://www.z1motorsports.com/product_info.php?cPath=6_23&products_id=14
