VIC Goldfields Cruise Sunday 3rd March 2013

UPDATE - CRUISE ROUTE AND TIMELINE AND OTHER STUFF.

The cruise has changed a bit since the opening post, now that we've gone into fund raising mode

MELBOURNE CREW MUSTER.
Todd road Servo as usual. Arrive by 8.45 AM, depart 9.00 AM.


GEELONG / SOUTHWEST CREWS MUSTER.
Guys, insert time and place >> HERE << if you need to.
Or just aim for the New Gisborne meet up as outlined below.


BENDIGO AND CENTRAL VIC CREW MUSTER.
OPTION 1 - 8.15 AM depart from Bunnings, Kangaroo Flat. Heading for New Gisborne to meet the Southern crews.
That's what I'll be doing. Would be great to have some company but I won't be waiting for stragglers
OPTION 2 - Meet us at the memorial Cross on Mount Macedon, see below for details.
OPTION 3 - Meet us at the BBQ lunch in Castlemaine at around 12.15 PM. See below for details.


MELBOURNE AND GEELONG / SOUTHWEST CREWS MEET UP, SOME CENTRAL VIC CREW TOO.
New Gisborne, Ross Watt Reserve, Station Road. Arrive 9.45 AM, Depart 10.00 AM.
I'll be there, along with some other Central Vic members.


MOUNT MACEDON.
Memorial Cross on top of Mt. Macedon, at the top end of Cameron Drive. Arrive 10.20 AM, Depart 11.00 AM.


CASTLEMAINE. BBQ LUNCH, FUNDRAISER FOR ERIC & KYLIE.
At ross79's place. Arrive 12.15 PM, bring your hunger
Depart around 1.30 ~ 1.45 PM.

I won't post Ross's address. If you're not already in the procession, wait at the Five Flags Hotel -
155 Main Road, Campbell's Creek - and join us as we drive by.

We'll be doing some bonding, fund raising, and novel photo shoots during the long lunch break


ROD HADFIELD'S ROD MUSEUM, CASTLEMAINE.
644 Pyrenees Highhay, Chewton. Arrive 1.45 - 2.00 PM, depart whenever we like.
Rod Hadfield will give us a guided tour and tell us the back story on the rods he has on display.
The tour takes around 45 - 60 minutes.

As discussed in the fundraising threads we will pay $10.00 entry fee each, rather than $5.00
The excess goes into the "help Eric & Kylie" fund.

Young mister Hadfield will be recently returned from his latest attempt at a 300 mph run on a salt lake in SA,
using a Commodore which has been modified a little bit for the job. Just a little bit :rofl:
( yes, 300 mph. That's 483 kph Can't wait to hear that war story )

Some Southern members will likely head for home after the museum.

looking iffy at the moment

50/50 depending on if i can get me daily sorted before the weekend. got a wheel bearing on the way out and getting louder. fingers crossed.

 

thats why i offered it up to fill in the missing year in the run ya had, looking like i may not make it to cruise though as is my niece's christening that sunday. will work out my timing and if i can't make it i will either post it to ya or get it to a SE melb Zedder to bring it along on cruise....

first i wanted to say hi to everyone.
I just joined here, bought my zx300 few days ago, love it.
Its at nismo performance in thomastown at the moment getting rwc, it had their sticker on the windscreen so i thought they might be able to tell me what i bought.
it sounded tough but i never realised i got over 300kw at the wheels.
they did lots of work on it, including full rebuild, large turbos, injectors.....
i just hope i dont get pulled over by the cops every five minutes.

Not enough time..

Mick, looking at the times.... We will be cutting it very close leaving Todd Rd at 9am and being at Ross Watt Reserve by 9:45am. I would say, that if we do manage to leave sharp at 9am, it will be closer to 10am before we arrive at Ross Watt Reserve. We'll this be a problem??

Also, I dont mind leading the way for this first leg if people are happy to follow the Jedi mobile...
