i have a 89 model z32 and need a new gearbox... is it cheaper in parts to replacing the gearbox or just rebuild? I have found a gearbox on ebay but unsure on if the 90-95 model would fir my 89 model? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/90-95-NI...r_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c5f67ed28
There was an upgrade to these gearboxes, what year was that? What changes were made, was it improving the syncro's?? I'm going to need a new box at some point in the near future....
Check to see if you have a heavy duty clutch fitted because you may be upfore a new clutch & flywheel machine when you change g/box.[Old bloke from Shoalhaven Heads.]
That gearbox will fit but I'm sure you can find a second hand one closer to home. I wouldn't waste my time and money rebuilding, not much more expensive to buy a new '98 spec box
$500 to $1000 more expensive depending on cost of second hand box or if you have one already . For people with small budget worth it imo .
Really not sure Marcus , I took it to Sydney Gearbox's in Strathfield . Talk to Manual over there . Helpfull freindly fellow . Call :97480688
I checked all this out years ago for a potential group buy. Parts ex Japan are very expensive due to a strong exchange rate and big $$ shipping costs. Coz is your best option.
