Hey guys, done a bit of searching but not much luck as I'm using my phone to navigate it all because my laptops died :(

Gonna have a crack at changing my clutch/flywheel over next week. What seals ect do you recommend I replace while the gearbox is out? And where I could find them if it's easier than going through a Nissan parts dealer. My car is a 5 speed n/a FYI.

    Cheers :)

rear crank oil seal is the one to replace which means flywheel has to come off you should be able to get one from a bearing and seals company, would be cheaper than main dealers, maybe someone over there can direct you to a decent company as im from the uk, this is just a suggestion as i get my seals from a bearing and seals company here

hope it all goes well mate

It's about a 4 to 5 hour job for two people if you have access to a rattle gun. You will need gasket goo to put on the exhaust when you are done. Obviously this is also a good time to change the oil in the GB too.

already got some royal purple gb oil waiting to go in once the gb is ready again. im going to allow 2 days to do this job, gonna have 2 mates helping me also ;)

dont have a rattle gun, but do have a breaker bar/socket wrench. hopfully that with some crc and a hammer will do ;)

im putting in a new flywheel in also so changing the rear main seal wont be an issue, is there any bearings or seals on the gb i should change if any?

If you're not having any problems with the gearbox, don't muck about with it. It would be sensible to change the rear oil seal and the input shaft(front seal)"just in case"(you'll need a gasket for the front seal retaining plate).

You use Gasket Goo on the exhaust?

Should be either Red silicon or better still White exhaust paste.

Oops, yes Graham is right. I did indeed use the high temperature exhaust paste (red), not gasket goo. Slip of the tongue - they look the same ;)
