Just wondering if anyone knows if there are gaskets between the block and the hard pipes for the hard water pipes that are visible. I'm wondering about the 2 that aren't visible that are connected to rubber hoses ??? If all that amde sense :p

You can get paper gaskets but a liquid gasket is perfectly fine for all those pipes and the water pump too.

I thought they didn't come with gaskets, I used the liquid gasket goo but last week when it was really hot I had put the radiator cap on and in the heat it started to leak out of one of those pipes. Would it leak if i haven't put the thermostat in perfectly ??? Not sitting properly in the hole.

Here's a pic of what i'm talking about, I'm talking about where the bypass hoses connect to the block. No gaskets at all ?? Do I need a special gasket glue for it ???

I couldn't find anything in the FSM. But yes, I would recommend you use a sealant on those hose inlets.

I picked up a good one from Repco. Just tell them what you want to do. I think I have Loctite Gasket Sealand 587 Blue.
