Garage - Who Comments?

Hey Guys..

Wondering if anyone actually rates/comments in the garage? - my car has only 3 votes and no comments in 2 years..

Was this a flop feature?

It has to be a flop, especially when the stealth zed has 1 comment and is rated 7.14. "this is madness!!!" :zlove:

If there was a better search function for the garages i think it would be better. I found myself wanting to isolate certain colours and mods and resorting to just browsing. Which i quickly got over and gave up..

 

there should be a link on everyones posts to there garage if they have one

but yes there should be a link near the avatar for each post. I swear there used to be a few years ago?

I have, and its been there from day one, but it seems like a good feature that is just a flop lol... like so many things in the world!

 

Yeah i think that was the previous version of the garage.. much better and easy to find people cars..

lol I agree that garage should be linked by default under the drop down options on your username, or as a visible link by the avatar. Linking in the sig area just looks self important.

 

What are you saying....

 

it's almost as bad as having a pic of your car in your sig, and your face as your avatar

 

I suppose it depends on what floats your boat really. I'm not sure what you are talking about Dave, there are 78 views of your garage alone. Not everyone feels like making comments or voting, some of us are just happy to window shop

Also, it's easy to find someone's vehicle, just click on the user name in the left pane, view public profile then click on the my vehicles tab.

 

I thought the garage was dead or you had to trick the system to put something in there.

As I can recall that was announced after the last upgrade so I have not bothered to try to put anything in there.

IF it is still there, how do you get to it ? Nothing obvious in 'User CP'

Remove your P plates for glamour shots... cheapens the look considerably.

Stef, go under the top pull-down menu titled "ZXTRAS", then click on Aus300ZX User Garage.
Once in, then follow the menu system at the top to create your own garage.

The old "non-working" garage was abandoned quite a while ago as it was an older VBulletin version that wasn't supported in the subsequent software upgrades, this new plug-in is the current setup, and was covered when introduced in the forum discussion section when implimented a while ago now.

Also, it's under "My Vehicles" in anyones user profile if you view it.

 

I read this and immediately thought, "My cat's breath smells like catfood." lol. Sorry man, its been a slow day.
