Hi All. Prob a no brainer but I cant find anything on this forum or interweb.

Is there a fuse for the power mirrors? I have checked the footwell fuse box but nothing there, and all fuses there are in good order.

My mirrors stopped working last night after they were working....before I pull them apart I wanted to check the fuse...if there is one.

check to make sure the plug is still in.. may have fallen out. very unlikey but a very quick thing to check

yep checked that. Also checked the wiring to my mirrors.

strange this is both stopped, so first thing I did was check the plug.

the mirror control unit seems a bit dodge though...the whole switch may have died.

I read on Z Driver that there may be an issue with the relay behind the fuse box that controls the mirrors and clock and some other shite...

so does your cd player still work? the cig lighter, clock, cd player and mirror switch is on the same line from memory...

or this may be from another car i am getting confused with.

I dont have a cd player installed. Cig lighter has never worked and either has the clock. the mirrors were working yesterday without any of these other accessories working...so I dont know.

get a test light and test all the fuses. that the easiest way.

if you havent got a test light get one from supercheap/autobarn/similar

simply ground the alligator clip slide and using the test light touch the back of the fuses. touch both sides (have the ignition of the car on) and if one side lights and other side doesnt then the fuse is blown.

it may sound basic but some car companies label fuses stupid..

    no problem.
a test light is the most useful tool you will ever use when trying to solve electrical problems and trying to find wires in a car.. i have like 3 of them just in case i screw one up.

    just in case....

personally i dont use LED test lights.. they are good as you will not set off an airbag or though codes with power going the wrong way into sensors.. but just dont go probing into stupid areas.

looks to me like the ones to check are
    #4 (10A), 8 (20A), 9 (20A) & 10 (10A)

(numbers are - left to right and top to bottom on the drivers fuse box)

    mr zed x chassis scrubbin..

test lights can be bad, i.e - if the light doesnt make a proper connection, grounding the fuse while testing short circuits it :|

had alot of people do this. check the connections at the actual switch for the mirrors too, may have became hot / loose and not be making a proper connection.
