I think I've found some leaking fuel at the regulator.

Firstly, Do I have to buy one from the US or is there an local alternative. Do I have to pull the plenum to get it out?

I have read associated tech article, but want to ensure Im good before taking this on.

No plenum pull is required. Its annoying to do but not especially hard . Plenty of rubber grease on the pipes makes it easier.

Try any of your local parts suppliers or fuel pump suppliers like automotive service solutions

Nothing too hard Brenton, just basic tools, and it's a bit fiddly.
I'd suggest replacing the small lengths of fuel hose as they will probably get damaged when you remove the regulator (old brittle etc).
    It's 8mm hose.
Bring the car over sometime, I'll be happy to help you out, and I have some spare fuel hose here.

Are you sure it's coming from the actual regulator, or could it be coming from damaged fuel hose??

I agree on replacing the hoses, they are damn hard to get off. If you know you won't be reusing them you can just run a sharp knife along each end lengthways to split them and they come right off :D

Worth replacing the hoses alright... Had a fuel smell for a week or so and couldn't find a leak. Today mine started leaking from the little hose...

You never ever reuse a tiny piece of fuel hose like that. (50c worth) It is most likely to be damaged when you take it off, so just cut it in the middle or slice it so it is easy to get off.

Plenty of second hand fuel regulators around it it really is faulty.

And, you can see it, you can see the bolts that are holding it, so it is easy to remove (for a zed)
