FUEL PUMP REPLACEMENT!

What fuel pumps are people using in their TTs and where are people getting them from, is the 220litres per min at 12V and 275lpm@ at 14.5V suitable. What are the Specs on the standard pump.

What bosch pumps are people using for motorsport in our cars,

stocks apparently rated at 241 lph at 12v

 

do we know of a good bosch replacement!

 

I'm running a Bosch 023, comes in between the 040 and 044.

023 (in tank) 168L/Hr (5 bar) Max 550HP
040 (in tank) 102L/Hr (6.5 bar) Max 330HP

 

sounds interesting. are you runnign it with a surge tank tho?

2 is pointless and overkill. Unless you intend to use your hicas lines as fuel lines (as some have done) and your car is trying to put out 1000hp, then save your money.

I tried one walbro and it would only get me to 15 psi of boost before it ran out of flow (with GT28RS turbos etc.). The same happened with a standard 300ZXTT fuel pump. So now I run both pumps with dual fuel lines and a custom made fuel pump control unit (I don't like the noise of two pumps running flat out all the time).

stock fuel pump maxed out on gt28rs at 15psi?

 

mmm makes me wonder as well. I seem to get conflicting results in this area compared with other peoples experiences.

 

its funny.on tt.net there are tts with big everything pulling 650hp at the wheels no worries with stock pump... mind u they are new stock pumps

 

My stock pump is new as well .

 

maybe your fuel pump controller wasnt going to full speed. Te stock TT fuel pump is plenty big enough to go to 20 PSI plus wit Gt28rs.

 

Or your reg was stuffed.
