Plug into conzult for error codes. Could be O2 sensors, Knock sensor, AFM, Bad injectors...

Well, could be a million things...

What other symptoms does your z have?

Mate if you can smell fuel, you have a fuel leak. That's a given.

Whether it be from your filler cap, your fuel pump, your engine bay, from under the car, if you can smell fuel, you have a leak.

That would be my first point of inspection if I were you, bad things can happen from fuel leaks no matter how small!

Go around and tighten every fuel hose you can find, airstyle is right, if you can smell fuel you've got a leak.
if the hose looks old go get some new gates EFI hose cut to size and replace (don't forget to depressurise the system first.)

    Process of elimination...

    Refer tech section:

Check IACV valve and associated hoses (broken/split hoses? Bad connectors?)
Check Plugs - When u say it doesnt idle well, does it missfire?
    Check 02's (Conzult or datascan)
    Knock sensor (Conzult) (Code 34)
    PRVR delete... (Why not?)
Boost leak test. (Might have a massive vac leak)

Failing all that, plenum pull, replace all fuel lines and hoses, new injector insultators, o-rings etc...

Ahh bugger it, pull the engine! Bigger turbos! Bigger Injectors! Bigger Cams! Forged internals! Leave no part un-upgraded! Simmo style :D

First point of call is Conzult tho. Get a cable! Got one here for $50+$10 express post!

    Check your fuel reg.

Pull the vac line off and see if theres any fuel coming out. If there is, its fubar.

Could be spark related too? If one cylinder is not firing hence bad idle and petrol smell(missing)

Check coil pack connectors, Change PTU if Series 1...
