    Hi All,

Need some advise on this issue...

Basically everytime i fill up with pretrol fuel pressure seems to build up and begin to overflow... I only fill up till it clicks twice... On the first click i let it settle. Then it will add a bit more.

What puzzles me is that i see the fuel level rising quite quickly and then Whoooshka. Huge overflow.. I probably lose about 3 litres during this regurgitation.

Can anyone shed my light on this as it is very frustrating and i know have stained stone guard... You can clearly see the run marks.....

Also i hear the tank gargle when it is rising so i am thinking that maybe it is taking on air from somewhere??? but the question is HOW?

Please help.... This is such a waste of fuel and money..

What I think it could be is thermal expansion
the problem you are getting is a resold of cold fuel from deep under ground going in 2 to a car that is at room temp or higher. I have seen this befor in my car on hot day I pot a tank in and the it keeps filling up then overflows

So how do you fix a prblem like this...

Essentially this should be happeneing to everycar should it not????

Would the new fuel then cool down the tank or will the tank warm up the fuel?

This happens to be everytime.... I is ruining the paint slowly slowly... I have to rub it back everytime it happens as it leaves a film on the paint and the baking sun doesnt help it. So i have to maintain it everyweek.

    GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I might be having a similar problem. I've filled it up completly twice this week for wakefield and eastern creek days, and after i'm done filling I noticed a small puddle on the ground. Had a look under the wheel arch and it seems to be coming from behind the filler somewhere. I just thought it might be a loose hose or join somewhere and was going to take my boot trim off to have a squiz.
I would only be losing maybe 100ml though at most.
I also noticed it today all over my wheel arch after a hard days drifting so something aint right.

when zeds are compianced the fuel intake spout is changed as they use different nozzles in japland, when they change it they often use dodgy sealant that the fuel can corrode over time, or so i have heard
