Ok well a little while ago i gave my car a lill xmas present and got a tune up (thanks Tom PZP) and that included new O2 sensors and a tune up to 14psi, and thats where my question come in, i'm getting like a crazy 200k's per tank (thats my daily routine so not any long drive to Perth mostly Rockingham city area sorta driving).

Any who my question is, is that a case of 14psi = chew's fuel get over it.. or is it a case of my fuel system needs a sorting out ie, tune upgrade ect?

any ideas or opnions are wanted... if its a case of getting used to it, i might needa get my car back to 9psi where its ment to be

there's no need to put up with that, you have a serious over fuelling problem. my car gets better fuel economy than that!!

have you pulled the ECU codes?

there are a number of causes of over fuelling including faulty det sensor, faulty coolant temp sensor, faulty O2 sensors (but you have replaced yours).

    Like others

have said check your ecu codes, your mileage per tank is unacceptable, its possibly in safety. Even if you flogged it in safety with a boost leak, the mileage should be better.

200kms/ tank .. thats greater than 30l/100kms. Massive. Is the rear bumber covered in soot? Somethings wrong.

    Too much

No even round town I get 350km on a tank.

But when I had a detonation sensor error yeah was more like 200km.

Check the ECU error codes, and maybe get someone to link it up to a computer to check various sensors are reading ok.
You can't immediately tell when you're in safety boost (7psi, more fuel, different timing etc) because you're running 14psi I guess bypassing the stock boost control solenoids. You can only really tell by fuel consumption.

Its worth noting that 14psi is a full atmosphere more pressure so makes the engine comparable to a 6L engine when boosting:eek: and well most 6L beasts dont rev up to 8K so yeah WOT will empty the tank.

i get stuff all around town, and it is not a problem with the car it is a problem with my foot, i get 700 off 60L on the freeway

i dont drive WOT all the time, i hardley ever let it boost.

But heres the thing, im pretty sure i can WATCH the fuel guage go down if im WOT on the freeway!..is that normal ?

But, if im just driving normal and dont let it boost, the guage seems to not move, at all, for days!
